About The Kristen Ann Carr Fund

The Kristen Ann Carr Fund (KACF) was established by Barbara Carr, Bruce Springsteen’s co-manager, and Dave Marsh, SiriusXM on-air personality and rock journalist, when they lost their eldest daughter, Kristen, to sarcoma at the age of 21. Shortly after Kristen's tragic death in 1993, Bruce Springsteen performed a sold-out landmark benefit concert at Madison Square Garden, raising $1.5 million to fund an endowment for a yearly sarcoma fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).

Over the past 21 years, the KACF has raised and provided funds to:
- Build the Kristen Ann Carr Sarcoma Laboratory at MSKCC (the first of its kind)
- Endow 2 fellowships (surgical and medical) at MSKCC
- Provide a $75,000 research grant submitted by a former KACF fellow
- Subsidize programs to train and develop sarcoma doctors
- Award start-up grants to organizations providing services to young adult patients and survivors
And much more!

Every little bit helps the KACF provide cancer patients with a higher quality of life, as well as provide researchers with a better understanding of sarcoma that gets them closer to developing ways of treatment. Thank you so much!
