A note from Kristen Bell

Ladies and gentlemen,

It's me, Kristen Bell –

There's 2 things I really care about: the Veronica Mars movie getting made, and changing the world. You guys are already getting the Veronica Mars movie made (well played) – now I want you to come change the world with me.

There's a human rights conference coming up August 8-11, the Fourth Estate Leadership Summit at UCLA, and for just a tiny donation to Invisible Children, you (and a friend) could be my date to it. With airfare and hotel included, you’ll get to see phenomenal bands, mind-blowing speakers, award winning films and we’ll sit together at a very special dinner Saturday night.

There's also some awesome rewards for larger donors – including signed head shots, personalized thank you notes, and even a special sloth T-shirt the IC kids designed just for me.

I'm super excited for the Summit – and hope you'll join me!

About Invisible Children

"Invisible Children started as a promise from its founders to a young boy in Uganda that they would do everything in their power to stop Joseph Kony and his army from abducting children and terrorizing an entire region. The organization has been close to my heart since I saw their first film and it's an honor to have become a part of this story that is saving lives and defining a generation. I hope you join us.
– Kristen Bell

Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army have been abducting, killing, and displacing civilians in East and central Africa since 1987. We first encountered these atrocities in northern Uganda in 2003 when we met a boy named Jacob who feared for his life and a woman named Jolly who had a vision for a better future. Together, we promised Jacob that we would do whatever we could to stop Joseph Kony and the LRA. Invisible Children was founded in 2004 to fulfill that promise.

A donation of $3 will support the efforts to print, transport, and drop 3 defection fliers in Central Africa. These defection fliers are encouraging abducted fighters to escape the LRA and return to their community safely.

Every dollar counts!
