A note from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Vanessa Nadal
Our family is heading across the pond for Opening Night of Hamilton in London and we want you to join us! We’ll cover your airfare and hotel and hook you up with VIP tickets to the show and the after-party so you can hang out with us and the cast afterward. Don’t worry, we’ll also make sure we snap some great photos together. This time around, we’re helping to raise money to fight an important issue that impacts all of us—climate change. For only a $10 donation, you’ll be entered to win the grand prize, plus you’ll be supporting two amazing organizations that are on the climate change front lines—the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and 10:10.
NRDC is working tirelessly around the world to ensure all of us have clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. (NRDC is even purchasing carbon offsets of travel emissions for the airfare portion of the prize through their partner, Native Energy, to help support the development of renewable energy projects!) And in honor of our opening in London, we are also going to give a portion of the funds to 10:10, a London-based organization that brings people together to take positive, practical action on climate change—at home, work, school, and in their community. Hurricane Maria hitting the Caribbean is just one of the latest examples of the devastating human cost of climate change, and it underscores the need for urgent international action before it’s too late.
Your $10 donation will help ensure a sustainable planet for all of us—now and in the future. If you want to donate more, you’ll earn more chances to win plus some cool stuff you can use to reduce your carbon footprint and signed Hamilton swag. It’s all our way of saying thank you for supporting these great organizations and joining the fight to make the world a cleaner, safer place for us all.
We thank you for your generosity and your support. We’ll see one of you in London!

10:10 Climate Action
At 10:10 we're all about helping people in the UK take action on climate change. Whether we’re installing solar panels, cooking up a vegan feast, celebrating the power of onshore wind, or lighting up our favourite places with LEDs, we’re positive, inclusive and dedicated to cutting carbon.
Right now, we’re starting a new project in Wolverley, England. The village has been flooded four times in the last decade, and we’re going to be helping the community work together to build natural flood defences - like planting trees on the riverbank. Not only will trees slow the flow of water, but they’ll also soak up carbon, and get local people talking more about climate change.
Wolverley is just the start though - we'll take what we’ve learnt there and work with another ten communities across the UK next year. We'll create a blueprint for braver and bolder action in flood risk communities. We know from our work building a network of solar schools that when communities come together to take action on climate change, all sorts of new and brilliant things happen. They don’t just install some solar panels or plant some trees - they build stronger, more resilient communities, and deepen their commitment to climate action. We’re really excited to get started on this work in Wolverley, and see where it takes us. Get Involved.
