GRAND PRIZE WINNER
from St. Petersburg, FL
A note from Hasan Piker
It seems like every day brings yet another story tearing down progressive values and human rights. I try to do my share of fighting back, but celebrating those on the front lines is so important.
That’s why I want you and a friend to join me as my guest at the Muslims for Progressive Values (MPV) Celebration of Life Gala in Los Angeles. You’ll walk the press line and sit with me as we celebrate this year’s honorees. It’s a great program of moving tributes, poetry readings, and music honoring the tireless efforts of artists and activists from the Muslim world who have fought against human rights abuses and sought to affirm the equal worth of all human beings.
It only takes a $10 minimum donation to MPV to enter to win. If you donate more, you’ll earn more chances to win, plus get some great exclusive merch! It’s my way of saying thank you for supporting MPV’s fight against radicalism and lighting new fires of change.
Good luck! I can’t wait to meet one of you!
About Muslims for Progressive Values
Founded in 2007, Muslims for Progressive Values (MPV) is a grassroots, human rights organization that embodies and advocates for the implementation of progressive values — women’s and LGBTQI rights, freedom of expression, freedom of and from religion, and separation of church and state — as well as countering against radical interpretations of Islam.
As progressive Muslims, the basis of our work is to fight against radicalism — misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, and supremacism. From the most rural areas to the most cosmopolitan cities, the world is filled with many lanterns that are barely, yet stubbornly flickering. The question becomes: how do we collectively pull together our lanterns to create a world filled with love, laughter, life, and liberty? Letting them burn out is not an option.
To keep these lanterns burning, to light new fires of change — this is the heart of Muslim for Progressive Values’ work.
