A note from theCHIVE
Every year the Andy Roddick Foundation hosts their annual gala and we want you to join us for this hilarious evening. The event is next Monday Oct. 30th and we will arrange all transportation and accommodations.
Simply donate $10 and you will be entered into the raffle for a chance to sit with me at the event (every $10 increment gets you a better shot to win. $50 = 500 tickets, etc)
You'll also have the chance to party with Brooklyn Decker, who might be one of the funniest people I ever met. So prepare for nonstop laughs.
And my bestest friend Jake Owen will be playing at this year's gala! Jake will also join us at our table. He's also not hard on the eyes if i'm honest.
Good luck. See you soon!
About Andy Roddick Foundation
We enrich the lives of children when they're not in school.
At the Andy Roddick Foundation, we take the time children spend outside the classroom and turn it into real opportunities. Over and over again, we engage children in high quality learning and enriching experiences after school and during the summer — the months and times of day when children who feel left out and forgotten need us the most.
Too many children in Central Texas do not have access to high-quality learning and enrichment that will keep their hard-earned academic skills sharp.
It’s like the front doors of a school. During the school year, the doors are open and all children have access to learning and enrichment because of equal access to public education. But after school and during the summer, the doors are locked for children in communities that have been left out.
Without quality learning and enrichment, our children are at risk for falling behind — year after year — in core subjects like math and reading and missing those eye-opening moments when they discover something they do well.
Through high-qualtiy afterschool activities developed in cooperation with the Austin Independent School District, as well as an acclaimed six-week summer program, investing in innovative summer activities, and other joint initiatives with key groups throughout the city, we are creating new chances for all kids to grow in literacy, STEM, art, and sports — all during months and times of day when statistics show they’re typically most at risk and falling behind
