A note from Abbi and Ilana
A bodega brunch tastes just as good when you pay in nickels. Fact.
And when women have the agency to write stories, they take back the power of creating narrative – no matter what gender those narratives represent. Girls Write Now is helping to foster that power in the next generation of women writers. Facts on facts on facts.
For a donation of only 200 nickels ($10) to Girls Write Now, you'll be entered to win! We’ll fly you and a friend to New York City to come meet us on set. We’ll put you in a plane, and put you up in a hotel in NYC. Then you'll come watch us film the show on set, we’ll hang out, grab lunch at one of our favorite spots in the city, and laugh our asses off.
If you want to donate more, you’ll get more chances to win and some cool Broad City merch. It’s our way of saying thank you for supporting women writers and their powerful narratives.
Good luck! We’ll see one of you in NYC! Yaaaaaaas!

About Girls Write Now
Girls Write Now mentors underserved high school girls from throughout New York City’s five boroughs — over 90% high need and 95% girls of color — who must rise above the race and income-based inequalities of the city’s public school system and the nation’s workforce. Through one-to-one mentoring with professional women writers and media makers, writing and technology workshops, and leadership, college prep, and professional development opportunities, we inspire women to share their craft and empower girls to find their voices and tell their stories.
100% of our senior girls go to college armed with writing and multimedia portfolios and a strong sense of self — more than half with awards and scholarships. Our girls have performed at Lincoln Center and the United Nations, published original work in Newsweek, The New York Times, Buzzfeed, and our award-winning anthology, and earned hundreds of Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
From young women exploring writing to seasoned professionals practicing their craft every day, Girls Write Now is dedicated to providing guidance, support, and opportunities for underserved high school girls to develop their creative, independent voices, and write their way to a better future.
