WE ALL NEED A HUG, RIGHT?
Hugs make us feel better. They make us feel loved and let us know everything will be ok. Well, the world is in need of a hug in a big way, and nobody knows that better than children. This January, kids are stepping up to give us all a BIG HUG, and they need your help.
On January 21, 2018, kids in communities around the world will participate in Big Hug Day by gathering in circles and hugging each other to show that when we have compassion for one another and treat each other the way we want to be treated, we could solve a lot of our problems.
Donate $10 or more to send a virtual hug to the renowned St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. If you donate $35, you’ll receive our exclusive campaign T-shirt to show your support for the kids and their mission. Donate by January 7th to receive your shirt in time for the event. (T-shirt donations made after after January 7th will be shipped 4-8 weeks after the campaign ends.)
Visit www.bighugday.com for more information on the big day.
ABOUT THE CAUSE
ST. JOSEPH’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Children are at the heart of what we do.
When it comes to health care, children are not just “small adults.” Children have different diseases - sometimes even different symptoms - than those of adults, and their care requires specific expertise and appropriate equipment. As Tampa’s first acute care facility dedicated solely to children, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital (SJCH) was designed to ensure the highest quality pediatric care for children with even the most complex or chronic conditions.
Our 186-bed, all-private room facility is home to a medical staff of nearly 200 physicians with nearly 80 pediatric specialists, representing almost every major pediatric sub-specialty. SJCH has earned a reputation for pediatric excellence that attracts families from across our region and beyond. We provide more acute medical and surgical pediatric care than all other hospitals in Hillsborough County and are one of the three largest children’s hospitals in Florida.
